The terms and syntagms from the law of contracts (contracts of lease and tenancy) serve the purpose of showing the method of<br />finding equivalents. British statutes on lease and tenancy are used to determine connotative equivalents. At the same time Louisiana Civil Code as well as the translation of the Polish Civil Code into English by TEPIS are used to find denotative equivalents for Polish legal institutions. Finally, the author points out that at the level of textual-normative equivalence (especially in the case of word collocations or combinations) parallel texts are an indispensable source of translative information which cannot be replaced by any dictionary.</p>}, journal={Comparative Legilinguistics}, author={MATULEWSKA, Aleksandra}, year={2010}, month={Jan.}, pages={55–68} }
