Nowadays ways of communication in diplomacy have changed; new forms of diplomacy have appeared. There is no doubt that those changes find reflection in language. This paper consists of two relatively independent parts. In the first part the author analyses the problem of representation of diplomatic terms included in two selected Polish and Russian dictionaries. The second part of the paper refers to a general analysis of diplomatic compound terms, touches upon some aspects of a comparative analysis of Polish and Russian terms and compound terms in use. The appendix includes a table with Polish and Russian diplomatic compound terms: textual equivalents. ER -
