Abstrakt

Przedmiotem artykułu jest analiza zależności między internacjonalizacją szkolnictwa wyższego a jakością kształcenia na podstawie tendencji, jakie występują w większości krajów europejskich. Autorzy zwracają uwagę na uwarunkowania procesu internacjonalizacji, wskazując na rolę ograniczonego finansowania budżetowego, konkurencji ofert na rynkach międzynarodowych oraz wsparcie instytucji publicznych na tych rynkach. Podstawową część artykułu stanowi omówienie programów i procedur zachowania jakości przy wchodzeniu na międzynarodowe rynki edukacyjne (na przykładzie wybranych krajów) oraz roli organizacji międzynarodowych i ich programów w tym procesie, w tym rolę Deklaracji Bolońskiej.  W ostatniej części artykułu omawiane są inicjatywy Unii Europejskiej i Stowarzyszenia Uniwersytetów Europejskich.
