Abstract
The text deals with the analysis of the current occurrence and ways of using prefixed verbs formed from word bases borrowed from English in the communication of members of the young generation. A total of 441 prefixal derivatives formed from 125 verb bases, distinguished on the basis of the degree of graphic adaptation, are divided in the text both according to their classification into verb classes based on stem-forming suffixes, and above all according to the native and borrowed prefixes used. In addition to their morphological-semantic characteristics, corresponding Czech equivalents and examples of usage are attached to the individual prefixed forms, and the variability of prefixes and the semantic modification of the verbs formed by them are discussed in particular.
