Abstract

The aim of this article is to present a project of acoustic research on word stress in Masovian dialects. Such analyses have not been conducted so far. They will include measurements of a number of parameters, such as duration, intensity, F1, F2 values, fundamental frequency F0, and spectral balance, considered as potential correlates of word stress in different languages. The measurements will be taken from vowels in spontaneous texts.
