Architectural accessibility
University Library in Poznan - building A
Description: There is one parking space for people with disabilities near the main entrance of the historic building, to the right of the entrance to the courtyard.
The main entrance to the building:
- accessible from the sidewalk level,
- does not have an automatic opening door,
- has an intercom located on the right side, which allows people with mobility difficulties to call for assistance,
- it is possible to enter the facility with an assistance dog without restrictions (based on the Law on Professional and Social Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities).
Inside the building:
- to the right of the main entrance is a locker room,
- to the right of the main entrance is located the tyloplan, the second is located on the second floor, to the left of the elevator exit, near the Humanities Reading Room,
- to the left of the checkroom door is an elevator equipped with buttons with Braille lettering, which serves all floors in the historic building, the elevator is not equipped with voice announcements,
- there is a staircase equipped with handrails on both sides, the first and last steps of a flight of stairs are not marked with contrasting stripes,
- on the right side of the stairs on the high first floor there is a toilet suitable for people with disabilities,
- on the right side of the stairs on the second floor is the Humanities Reading Room, where a workstation has been set up equipped with a scanner, enlarger and a computer with audio-visual software for people with visual disabilities,
- the rooms in the building are not marked with signs with raised numbers and Braille,
- there is no audio navigation system for people with visual disabilities.

Biblioteka Uniwersytecka w Poznaniu - budynek B
There is one parking space for people with disabilities near the entrance to the building, to the right of the entrance to the courtyard.
The main entrance to the building:
- there is a ramp leading to the Place Lending Library to facilitate access for people with mobility disabilities,
- does not have an automatic opening door,
- it is possible to enter the facility with an assistance dog without restrictions (based on the Law on Vocational and Social Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities).
Inside the building:
- self-service clothing lockers are located to the right of the main entrance,
- there are stairs equipped with handrails on both sides, the first and last steps of a flight of stairs are not marked with contrasting stripes,
- there is no toilet adapted for people with disabilities,
- there is no audible navigation system for the visually impaired,
- there are no placards with raised numbers and Braille.
In the gate, on the right side, opposite the entrance to the Lending Library, is located a book machine available 24 hours 7 days a week, operated in four languages: Polish, English, German, Ukrainian. The book machine has facilities for the visually impaired, and has been equipped with a monitor with contrast selection. For people with mobility disabilities, the monitor and lockers have been lowered.
