For Editors
Welcome to the PRESSto journal platform. We invite you to cooperate with us! Please become acquainted with our supporting materials.
The recent developments and advances in electronic publishing forms has ultimately led to enormous changes in the work organisation of editorial teams and the ensuing necessity to have access to electronic tools in managing journals. Acknowledging these needs, the PRESSto platform, one of the first Polish academic platforms that publishes open scholarly periodicals and was created at the initiative of staff workers of different faculties at AMU, makes every effort to consistently and comprehensively develop its services and to ensure its service and support in editors’ work as best as possible.
We warmly invite you to cooperate with us in publishing electronic editions of your scholarly journals, using the universally acclaimed Open Journals System (OJS) on the PRESSto platform – a site for the presentation of AMU research journals and their promotion. Our platform aims at disseminating and promoting the contents of journals among the academic community and in the circulation of research and scholarly material through indexing in worldwide databases, thus improving their visibility at universities and libraries all around the world.
We support editors in all stages of managing and handling the publication process, by providing the following services:
- maintenance and development of technologically-advanced levels of journal management, with concurrent reduction of costs related to the maintenance of the IT infrastructure through the integration of journals on just one platform;
- advanced IT support, creation of individual profiles of journal web pages and their service provided by a single team that includes: site’s technical operation, launching and upgrading plug-ins, software upgrading, etc.;
- assistance in aligning the documentation with current legal and formal requirements;
- independence of external companies and protection of the output of the journal against possible loss of data;
- continuous and sustainable improvement of publishing good practices, training sessions, current and updated ministerial information, and information on world’s trends;
- increase in the visibility of the journal in the digital space;
- counseling in matters concerning the preparation process in indexing in databases and Ministry of Education guidelines.
