professor of the Department of Musicology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź. His scientific interests are devoted mainly to the history and aesthetics of 19th-century music (programme music, the output of 19th-century Polish composers in exile - Juliusz Zarębski and Giuseppe Poniatowski). He has published four books and about eighty articles.
