Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  1. The paper is an original work and has not been published, submitted, or accepted elsewhere in any form; copyrights of third parties have not been breached.
  2. Articles should range from 20 to 25 pages.
  3. An abstract of not more that 250 words should be included at the end of the article.
  4. Articles should be submitted in Word format, Times New Roman 12, doubled-spaced with 2,5cm margins.
  5. Spelling should follow the Oxford English Dictionary.
  6. Quotations should be indicated by using double inverted commas.
  7. Italics should be used for titles of books, titles of articles, and short foreign phrases or names only.
  8. The Harvard system of referencing is preferred. This consists of: brief citation in the text; and a list of references at the end of the text.
  9. Citations should have the following form:(Barber, 2003: 24); (Friedent, 1998: 63).
