Abstrakt
Czy w stanie wzburzenia, określanego w Biblii antropopatycznie „gniewem”, jakiego doznaje Bóg na skutek zatwardziałości człowieka w grzeszeniu, może znaleźć się miejsce na Jego miłosierdzie? W świecie ludzkim gniew zasadniczo wyklucza równoległość obu tych faktów, dopóki właśnie gniew nie ustanie. Natomiast okazuje się, że podczas działania „gniewu” Boga jest wiele miejsca na postawę z gruntu z nim kontrastującą. Negatywna odpowiedź Boga na ludzką nikczemność posiada niewątpliwie swe teologiczne uzasadnienie, lecz nie wyklucza to poszukiwania odpowiedzi na relację między Jego sprawiedliwym gniewem a miłosierdziem. Teksty biblijne dowodzą, że miłosierdzie to nie przestaje oddziaływać na grzeszników nawet wówczas, gdy dominuje Boża sprawiedliwość i kara.
