Abstract
Ukrainian culture is an important element of national security. History has many examples of how culture existed inseparably from wars, and at the same time, art reinterpreted current meanings: it sought out new aspects of humanism or became part of the confrontation. Today, Ukrainian culture is a significant element of psychotherapy, as we all go through the traumatic experience of dreadful news, living under the sound of sirens – all of which requires emotional compensation, dialogue, and support. The subject of this research is the development of Ukrainian culture after the full-scale invasion. The goal is to analyse the current state of culture and art in Ukraine, their role during wartime, and the preservation and promotion of our values, as it is crucial to develop the Ukrainian cultural space with a focus on people and their inner needs. On the other hand, the export of cultural content is a powerful promotion of Ukraine in the world. It is an inseparable part of our independence and growth. Contemporary art is also used as a tool of resistance against Russian propaganda and oblivion. Artists restore and revive broken connections that may be lost due to war and its consequences. It is important to support creative ideas, cultural projects, and initiatives because culture represents Ukraine to the world and serves as a platform for preserving our identity.
