Abstrakt
Artykuł analizuje problem podobieństw i różnic w przedstawieniach jeźdźca w sztuce Anatolii i Tracji oraz ich znaczenia ikonograficznego. Problem jest istotny dla badań nad transferem motywów artystycznych i religijnych między regionami starożytnego świata. Celem pracy jest określenie relacji między tymi przedstawieniami oraz wyjaśnienie ich genezy. Autor stosuje analizę porównawczą materiału ikonograficznego, obejmującego stele, reliefy i sarkofagi z różnych stanowisk. Najważniejsze wyniki wskazują, że choć przedstawienia z obu regionów wykazują podobieństwa formalne (np. kierunek ruchu jeźdźca, dynamika sceny), różnią się pod względem ikonografii szczegółowej i kontekstu symbolicznego. W Anatolii motyw jeźdźca wiązany jest z lokalnymi bóstwami oraz z heroizowanymi zmarłymi, natomiast w Tracji posiada odrębne, bardziej ustalone cechy ikonograficzne. Brak charakterystycznych elementów trackich w zabytkach anatolijskich sugeruje niezależność części tradycji. Jednocześnie podobieństwa mogą wynikać ze wspólnych podstaw kulturowych lub kontaktów między populacjami. Wnioskiem jest stwierdzenie, że zbieżności ikonograficzne są efektem zarówno wspólnego dziedzictwa, jak i dyfuzji wzorców, a nie prostego zapożyczenia.
