Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Call for Papers 2026 

1. Editors of the Yearbook of European Integration asks for submitting texts via the PRESSTO electronic text deposit system: pressto.amu.edu.pl/index.php/rie.

Submissions to “Yearbook of European Integration” must follow the journal’s style guide, including formatting, length and references. The author cannot edit the text during editorial work.

The size of the article, including footnotes and bibliography, should not exceed one publishing sheet (40,000 characters). Reviews, polemics and information should not exceed half of one sheet of a standard typescript.

2. The text should be accompanied by Information about the author:

a. Full name
b. Degree, academic title
c. Represented research institution / affiliation
d. Exact mailing address, telephone number and e-mail
e. Biographical information in Polish and English (150-200 characters)
f. Statement and Author’s agreement
g. ORCID number.
h. Abstract in Polish and English, not exceeding 0.5 pages each. They should be placed before the main text;
i. Keywords in Polish and English (max. 5), placed after each abstract, respectively

3. Authors are asked to refer to the authors’ guidelines.

4. We are accepting manuscripts in English for issue 20/2026. Please submit your manuscripts by September 15, 2026.

5. The Yearbook of European Integration accepts only submissions of original texts that have not been previously published and have not been submitted for publication in other scientific journals or collective works.

6. Articles that meet the following basic criteria will be accepted for the next issue of the journal:

a. compliance of the undertaken subject with the purpose and profile of the journal;
b. high substantive value of considerations;
c. proper text structure (IMRaD standardization);
d. in the case of an article: clear formulation of the hypothesis or research question, discussion of methodological assumptions, accurate selection of the referenced literature;
e. stylistic and linguistic correctness;
f. meeting the formal requirements and compliance with the editorial rules contained in the guidelines for authors of texts;
g. filling in and sending, together with the text of the signed copyright statement in the paper version of the journal and in the electronic version, as well as ghostwriting and guest authorship declarations.

The journal does not charge any fees for submitting, processing, accepting for publication and publishing texts qualified for publication.

TIME FOR PROCEDURES FOR ARTICLES

We do our best to ensure that Authors receive reviews of their texts within 2 months of their submission. Authors are kindly asked to read the journal’s Open Access Policy.

The editors of the journal “Rocznik Integracji Europejskiej” [Yearbook of European Integration] hereby inform that, for the purposes of publishing activities, they collect and process the personal data of the Authors whose texts have been approved for publication. Legal basis: art. 6 of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016.
