Free Democratic Party in the election to European Parliament in 2024

Abstract

In the 2024 European Parliament elections, the Free Democratic Party supported economic and social liberalism. The FDP’s electoral program was a continuation of previous political goals and a response to the needs of modernizing European politics. The Free Democratic Party defended its programmatic identity in the election campaign, despite the increase in public support for the protest groups. The election campaign of the Free Democratic Party took place in a traditional way and with the use of the Internet, through the presentation of election events in the media and activity in social media. The Liberals achieved mixed results on German territory, ultimately winning 5 seats in the European Parliament and joining the Renew Europe.
