Abstract
The structuralist resignation of drawing on the biography of authors when attempting to analyse their work, which persisted until 1970s, stood in the way of extracting content concealed there, content which thus far had been considered absent. The return to biographism as a research method, permitting to read literary fiction by referring to the facts from writer’s life, became a key which made it possible to discover manifestations of homoerotic fascination in a part of Polish 20th century literature.
