Abstract
Relacje między Jordanią i Syrią na przestrzeni wieków naznaczone były różnym stopniem wzajemnej wrogości, czy nawet przemocy. Syryjskie powstanie z 2011 roku nie pozostaje bez wpływu na stosunki jordańsko-syryjskie. Jordania zajęła neutralną pozycję wobec wydarzeń w Syrii, traktując je jako wewnętrzną sprawę sąsiada, jednak – w przeciwieństwie do innych arabskich państw – nie zamknęła ambasady syryjskiej. Artykuł poświęcony jest relacjom jordańsko-syryjskim i stanowisku dyplomatycznemu Jordanii w latach 2011–2013 wobec syryjskiego powstania 2011 roku. Omawia również znaczenie stabilizacji sytuacji w Syrii dla Jordanii, jako że Syria jest jednym z większych państw regionu, w wymiarze ekonomicznym, społecznym i geograficznym oraz bada możliwości udzielania przez Jordanię pomocy humanitarnej uchodźcom syryjskim.
