Abstract
The article focuses on the analysis of the methods of detection and research of the prototypes. The dependence of the prototype on the category selected for analysis has been proved. There are three main categories in which the perceptual feature is objectifi ed: the actual category of perceptual sign, the category of perceptual representatives, the category of the semantic field of the perceptual sign. Accordingly, the lexical, reference and semantic prototypes of the trait sign have been distinguished.References
