Abstract
The article focuses on the analysis of the reconstruction of the psychological landscape of Lviv during World War II found in Ola Hnatiuk’s Courage and Fear. The main theme of the book is the story of intelligentsia in Lviv under the Soviet and the Nazi occupations. The author has analyzed some aspects of the book that appear as a precise ‘case study’ of the impact of the phenomenon of fear on the lives of individuals and communities under extreme conditions.References

2.8. making the Work available according to appropriate license pattern Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) as well as another language version of this license or any later version published by Creative Commons. - The Author grants the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan permission to:
3.1. reproduce a single copy (print or download) and royalty-free use and disposal of rights to compilations of the Work and these compilations.
