Abstract
The powerful development of digital technologies in the 21st century has affected all spheres of human life. This has led to a surge in folk linguistics, because now any person with access to network platforms and who is not a professional philologist can comment on linguistic problems and offer their own views on complex linguistic phenomena. This article analyzes the semantic and structural features of neologisms that were constructed by users on the “Slovotvir” website, which offers Ukrainian equivalents to borrowed football concepts. The article singles out groups of innovations that name football as a game, the teams, tournaments, matches and their parts, match moments, free kicks, goals scored, players by positions and functions on the field, the refereeing corps, fans, and football equipment. It was found that in addition to neologisms, users consider commonly used and obsolete words, terminology created in the 1920s (which, however, did not enter into common use) to be the most successful equivalents to football concepts.

2.8. making the Work available according to appropriate license pattern Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) as well as another language version of this license or any later version published by Creative Commons. - The Author grants the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan permission to:
