Abstract
The aim of this article is to present the concept of a lexicographic study of dialectal vocabulary belonging to one of the subfields of the thematic field of CULINARY ARTS. The work, which records the names of kitchen utensils and equipment, constitutes another volume of a larger interdisciplinary project dedicated to the culinary heritage of Silesia. This project is designed as a series of thematic dictionaries of the language and culture of the region, archiving and documenting the lexicon from various subfields of broadly understood culinary arts.
The article discusses the purpose, content, nature, and intended use of the emerging Lexicon of Silesian Culinary Heritage. Kitchen Utensils and Equipment. It also presents the structure of a dictionary entry, illustrated with selected examples.
