Abstrakt

Autorka prezentuje sposoby zarządzania instytucjami szkolnictwa wyższego występujące w krajach Europy Zachodniej. Najwięcej miejsca poświęca próbie odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy jest możliwe przeniesienie modelu zarządzania ze świata biznesu do szkolnictwa wyższego? Jest to problem bardzo aktualny, obecnie bowiem rządy wielu krajów starają się zachęcić wyższe uczelnie do wprowadzania takiego sposobu zarządzania. Nazywany on jest zamiennie entrepreneurial model lub business model. Artykuł kończy się uwagami na temat zmian zachodzących w polskich wyższych uczelniach oraz oceną możliwości zastosowania w naszych warunkach sposobów doskonalenia jakości szkolnictwa wyższego proponowanych obecnie w Europie Zachodniej.
