Abstract
The article explores the theoretical framework of the 'mythical hero' concept, emphasizing the need for a functional definition that encompasses a broad range of characters and serves as a practical tool in both film studies research and education. The proposed model is structured around four key elements: ritual episodes, cultural lineage, methods of hero construction, and contemporary relevance. These considerations are supported by examples from the works of Christopher Nolan, showcasing the adaptability of myth in contemporary cinema.
