Abstract

A popular way of encouraging students and pupils to familiarize themselves with a reading is to watch its film adaptation. Unfortunately, adaptation is often seen as a way to replace a more difficult activity – reading the literary work on which the film is based. The aim of the article is to present an alternative approach to teaching literature using fragments of commercial films, which can serve as a valuable tool in the analysis of literary texts.
