Abstract

The article presents a critical view of the usefulness of traditional definitions and typologies of the con- cept of value for the demands of social pedagogy practice and proposes the use of the category of need for this purpose, but not according to the dominant approaches of psychology, but to the objectivized systemic concept of human needs by Tomasz Kocowski.
