Peer Review Process
- The policy of reviewing texts submitted to the editorial board of „Poznań Theological Studies” bases on recommendations contained in the document “Good practices in reviewing procedures in science” published by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
- The editorial board of “Poznań Theological Studies” makes a preliminary assessment of the submitted articles and when the result is positive, each article is sent to two referees who hold at least the academic degree of doctor.
- The texts sent to the referees are evaluated anonymously (i.e. the referees do not know the personal data of the author(s) of the reviewed paper).
- The referee sends an electronic version of the review prepared on an appropriate form (to be downloaded below), to the e-mail address of the editorial board and in paper form with a handwritten signature to the address of the editorial office: Redakcja „Poznańskich Studiów Teologicznych”, Wieżowa st. 2/4, 61-100 Poznań, or to the address of the editor-in-chief: Bogusław Kochaniewicz, Kościuszki st. 99, 61-716 Poznań.
- The final decision on the acceptance of a paper for publication is made by the editor-in-chief after he has acquainted himself with the referees’ reviews and the ultimate (if need be revised) version of the submitted text.
- The editorial board of “Poznań Theological Studies” publishes at the end of the year on the website of the journal a list of referees who cooperated in editing a successive volume of “Poznań Theological Studies.”
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Publishing ethics
The editorial board of “Poznań Theological Studies” would like to prevent instances of “ghostwriting”, when someone substantially contributes to the writing of a publication but does not disclose his/her input as one of the authors, as well as instances of “guest authorship”, i.e. situations when the contribution of the author to the writing of the text was minor or none, but still he/she claims authorship. Therefore, authors of submitted texts are requested to disclose the actual input of particular authors to the creation of the publication.
The editorial board of “Poznań Theological Studies” opposes all forms of dishonesty in scholarship and therefore requests the authors to submit materials which have not been published previously or have not been concurrently submitted for publication to other journals. In all cases of “ghostwriting” or “guest authorship” or other forms of scholarly dishonesty the editorial board reserves to itself the right to inform about such instances institutions where the authors are employed, scientific societies etc.
