Allusive euroskepticism in the 2015 presidential debates

Abstract

Foreign policy was not a significant part of the presidential campaign. It has been dominated by Russia and the issue of NATO bases in eastern Europe. Although Poles are among the biggestsupporters of European integration, as a result of immigration crisis the group of people dissatisfied with European decisions, considered as a violation of sovereignty is growing. Since suchpersons are not opponents of integration as such, candidates resorted to more or less eurosceptic speech. Some of them used the allusive Euroscepticism to speak as supporters of integrationand the presence of Polish EU and at the same time indicate the areas in which Poland will not agree to EU regulations.
