Abstract
The aim of this article is to create a smart city model and to present the role of the information and communication technologies in the city’s development. In order to introduce the reader to the subject, the paper reviews the literature about smart cities and presents the existing smart city model proposals. In the next part, the article presents the author’s model of smart city and the impact of the use of innovation technologies on the functioning of the urban unit. Then, the paper describes the method of analysis, which enables to compare the city’s development level over time, as well as to compare the development level of different cities.References
