Abstrakt
W badaniu przeanalizowano, w jaki sposób fundusze europejskie przyczyniają się do redukcji zróżnicowań społeczno-ekonomicznych pomiędzy polskimi podregionami. Wyniki nie powierdziły ani przeciwstawnych, ani komplementarnych efektów Polityki Spójności i Wspólnej Polityki Rolnej. Polityka Spójności wykazała bardziej wyraźny wpływ prorozwojowy, zwłaszcza na wzrost zatrudnienia i przedsiębiorczości, choć jednocześnie odnotowano jej niewielkie oddziaływanie na wzrost różnic między podregionami. Wydatki wspierające przedsiębiorstwa, kapitał ludzki, społeczeństwo informacyjne oraz B+R okazały się szczególnie istotne dla dynamiki procesów rozwojowych. Natomiast inwestycje w jakość życia oraz wydatki WPR nie wpływały na zmniejszenie ubóstwa względnego ani absolutnego. Modernizacyjny charakter WPR mógł przyczynić się do wzrostu zróżnicowań w zakresie bezrobocia rejestrowanego, jednak identyfikacja mechanizmów tego zjawiska wymaga dalszych, również jakościowych, badań.
