The Editorial Board of Testy psychologiczne w praktyce i badaniach is committed to the principles of research integrity, honesty, and transparency in the publication process. The journal follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and undertakes appropriate measures to ensure compliance with ethical standards throughout the publication process. The Editorial Board is committed to ensuring that these standards are observed by authors, reviewers, and editors.

Responsibilities of authors

Authors are required to:
· submit only original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by another journal;
· present research findings accurately and cite all sources appropriately;
· obtain any required permissions for the use of copyrighted materials;
· disclose whether, and to what extent, generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools were used in the preparation of the manuscript, for example for literature review, data analysis, preparation of tables, figures or other graphical materials, editing, translation, or drafting sections of the manuscript;
· identify all individuals who made a substantial contribution to the preparation of the manuscript; ghostwriting and guest authorship are considered unacceptable;
· disclose any conflicts of interest and sources of research funding, where applicable;
· obtain informed consent from research participants and, where required by the nature of the study, approval from an appropriate research ethics committee;
· promptly inform the Editorial Board of any significant errors identified in a submitted or published article.

Responsibilities of reviewers

Reviewers are required to:
· evaluate manuscripts with regard to their scientific quality and contribution, as well as their compliance with ethical standards governing research involving human participants and the publication of research findings;
· provide a thorough, substantive, objective, and constructive review;
· maintain the confidentiality of all information contained in the manuscripts under review;
· inform the Editorial Board of any conflicts of interest or lack of expertise that may prevent them from providing an appropriate review;
· submit reviews within the agreed timeframe or promptly inform the Editorial Board if they are unable to complete the review;
· notify the Editorial Board of any suspected plagiarism or other forms of research misconduct.

The journal operates an open peer review model in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are disclosed.

Responsibilities of the Editorial Board

The Editorial Board is committed to:
· making publication decisions solely on the basis of the scholarly merit of the manuscript and its relevance to the scope of the journal;
· ensuring an impartial and transparent editorial and peer-review process;
· preventing all forms of research and publication misconduct, including plagiarism, self-plagiarism, ghostwriting, and guest authorship;
· respecting copyright and protecting personal data;
· not disclosing any information concerning submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, prospective reviewers, and other members of the editorial team directly involved in the publication process.

In making publication decisions, the Editorial Board takes reviewers' recommendations into account. Where appropriate, it may also seek advice from the Journal's Scientific Board, which serves in an advisory capacity.

Procedures in cases of suspected publication misconduct

In cases of suspected breaches of publication ethics, the Editorial Board investigates the matter in accordance with the recommendations of COPE.

If misconduct is confirmed, the Editorial Board may:
· reject the submitted manuscript;
· request appropriate explanations or revisions;
· publish an expression of concern or retract the published article;
· notify the relevant institution of the confirmed misconduct, where warranted by the nature of the case.
