Abstrakt

Autorka omawia rolę publicznego finansowania szkół wyższych w krajach zachodnioeuropejskich i w Stanach Zjednoczonych w trzech aspektach: 1) udziału finansowania publicznego w całości nakładów finansowych na szkolnictwo wyższe; 2) finansowania prac badawczych w szkołach wyższych; 3) udzielania pomocy materialnej studentom. Drugim wątkiem analizy są zmiany w wielkości i formach publicznego finansowania szkół wyższych, ich uwarunkowania oraz skutki.

Małgorzata Dąbrowa-Szefler - doktor hab. nauk ekonomicznych, specjalizuje się w problematyce postępu technicznego oraz polityki nauki i technicznej. Pracuje w Centrum Badań Polityki Naukowej i Szkolnictwa Wyższego Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego. Ostatnio opublikowała pracę Polityka naukowa i techniczna w gospodarce rynkowej. Kierowała przygotowaniem dla MEN ekspertyzy na temat systemów pomocy finansowej państwa dla studentów w krajach Europy Zachodniej.
