Abstract

The article focuses on the student’s perception of education process performed by the university teachers. To learn this significant element of the university truth, The Department of Psychology and Pedagogics of the Economics Academy in Krakow surveyed the students. The teachers were evaluated on the following criteria: a) formal factors of the teaching attitudes (regularity, arriving on time, accessibility, warmheartedness, gentleness), b) factors constituting the basis for the methodical competencies (ability to properly organize classes, communication skills, testing abilities), c) factors related to the lectured content (the way the lecture is performed, inspiring and activating students). The opinions collected among students of various courses constitute an important feedback information for the teachers. It allows teachers to understand the results of their activity, the appropriateness of their teaching methods and the variety of students’ expectations. On the other hand, studies like this are also useful for students, as they allow students to formulate and present opinions regarding teachers and by the same, create an opportunity for more conscious and critical participation in the classes.
