Abstract
The article discusses the framework for Lisbon Strategy in Poland, i.e.: (a) financing problems in research and science in cross-national comparisons; (b) the structure of R&D facilities as a factor which may limit the technology transfer; (c) the resultant level of innovativeness in Poland’s economy. The author summarises chances and opportunities associated with the implementation of the Lisbon Strategy in Poland and presents recommendations which may be conducive to success in this area.
