Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present a proposal for a research methodology in relation to the evaluation of urban resilience and its verification in selected Polish cities. The scope of the article was supplemented by conclusions drawn from the application of the proposed method in the processes of strategic diagnosis and monitoring of cities. The proposed method for the evaluation of
urban resilience assumes that a city is an open adaptive system, consisting of the attributes of resilience and vulnerability whose evaluation is a part of the strategic diagnosis leading to the identification of measures to strengthen its resilience.
