Abstract

This article is devoted to the problem of developing linguistic and cultural
competence in students in classes of Russian as a foreign language. The importance of this aspect in teaching foreign students has become a conventional point of view in the modern methodology of language teaching. The knowledge of traditions, customs, norms and values of different nations is necessary to succeed in intercultural communication.
