Abstract

The article presents philosophical and theological aspects of the contemplative dimension of sacred music. The presented research aims to define contemplation’s role in sacred music and Christian spirituality. This synthesis allows for a better understanding of contemplation’s philosophical and biblical foundations in the reception of music and the creative process. Contemplation, as an essential element of the realization of the ethos of a musician, becomes an integral part of music, conceived as a way to encounter God.
