Abstrakt
W artykule przedstawiono analizę sytuacji systemów nauki i techniki w krajach Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej oraz przeobrażeń, którym owe systemy uległy w latach dziewięćdziesiątych. Zmiany te zostały opisane za pomocą modelu „trzech faz” . Analiza różnic między krajami ze względu na zaawansowanie transformacji oraz perspektywy przyszłego rozwoju nauki i techniki pozwoliła wyróżnić trzy grupy krajów. Podczas gdy w sferze nauki państwowej dominuje postęp w restrukturyzacji instytucjonalnej, sytuację w sferze nauki i techniki przemysłowej trzeba ocenić jako niezadowalającą, a problem restrukturyzacji jako nierozwiązany. Głównym zadaniem wszystkich krajów Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej dążących do członkostwa w Unii Europejskiej pozostaje stworzenie nowych systemów nauki i techniki poprzez powiązania krajowe i międzynarodowe.
