Abstract
The article is presenting assumptions and chosen results of the regional foresight “Academic Masovia 2030”, the main goal of which was developing scenarios of changes in higher education, supporting the development of economy based on knowledge in the region in the perspective of 2030. Presented scripts demonstrate actions and transformations which should be taken in order to get the best - in this respect - effects, they also show the consequences of possible omissions. In the article recommendations drawn up within the project are quoted for effective support of economy based on knowledge by the higher education system.
