Abstract
The aim of this article is to present issues related to the use of metaphoric cards as a structured method of conducting the therapeutic process. Working with metaphoric cards is characterized by a certain structure that is independent of any particular modality and stems from the way individuals construct metaphors and associations, as well as how therapists utilize them. The article introduces an original methodology referred to as the Structural Model of Working with Metaphoric Cards. This model, based on content-related, associative, and relational aspects, offers an organized approach to using this tool. In order to illustrate the theoretical framework more precisely, dedicated examples are provided. Metaphoric cards are becoming a universal tool, transcending the “divisions” between therapeutic schools. However, it is essential to emphasize that metaphoric cards, like any other therapeutic tool, must be conceptualized within a theoretical framework.
