Abstract
This essay focuses on Vida’s dialogue on political philosophy De rei publicae dignitate dedicated to the papal legate at the Council of Trent, Cardinal Reginald Pole (1500–1558). Vida wanted his dialogue to serve as a replacement for Cicero’s philosophical treatise De re publica, which was lost in his day.References
