Abstrakt
W artykule ukazano filozoficzne i teologiczne aspekty kontemplacyjnego wymiaru muzyki sakralnej. Celem przedstawionych badań jest próba określenia roli kontemplacji w muzyce sakralnej oraz w szeroko pojętej duchowości chrześcijańskiej. Dokonana synteza pozwala na lepsze rozumienie filozoficznych, a także biblijnych podstaw rozumienia kontemplacji obecnej nie tylko w odbiorze muzyki, ale także w procesie twórczym. Kontemplacja jako niezbędny element realizowania etosu muzyka, staje się integralną częścią muzyki pojmowanej jako droga do spotkania z Bogiem.
