Abstract
The aim of this study is to highlight the most significant achievements of ecumenical dialogue on Christology between the Catholic Church and the Baptist World Alliance. The use of textual analysis alongside an ecumenical approach will enable us to trace the Christological issues addressed in this dialogue on the global stage. Focusing initially on Christological issues, the dialogue will affirm a shared biblical Christology, recognising Jesus Christ as the Son of God, Lord and Saviour, and confirming the authority of the first four ecumenical councils. It will also note the continuing differences regarding baptism, ecclesiology and the acceptance of salvation outside Christianity, as well as the emphasis placed by both traditions on conversion, discipleship and the communal witness of the Church (koinonia) enlivened by the Holy Spirit.
