This forthcoming volume is devoted, in large part, to the highly topical field of linguistic landscape studies. The articles brought together in this issue offer insightful perspectives on the visibility, functions and meanings of language in public space, and highlight the relevance of linguistic landscape research for contemporary language, culture and society.
