Abstrakt
Artykuł traktuje współzależności między człowiekiem a jego środowiskiem naturalnym przedstawione w powieści Mapa i terytorium (2010) Michel’a Houellebecq’a, gdzie są one negocjowane za pomocą sztuk wizualnych. Obrazy i fotografie artysty Jeda Martina stają się miejscem kontemplacji i refleksji pozycji człowieka w kulturze i naturze. W nich sprawczość (agency) człowieka z człowieka stopniowo przechodzi na naturę. W ostatnich instalacjach fotograficznych przyjęto perspektywę roślinności, która zastępuję ludzką sprawczość. W medium sztuk wizualnych wypróbowane są transwersalne alianse, alternatywne praktyki i wizje, które kwestionują industrialno-techniczną hybris antropocenu. Powieść Houellebecq’a czytana jest w kontekście etnicznej debaty o antropocenie.
