Folia Praehistorica Posnaniensia is a leading journal of the Faculty of Archaeology of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. It has been annually published since 1985. All articles are peer-reviewed, both by Polish and foreign scholars. The editorial committee is composed of international scholars. The journal publishes scientific achievements in the discipline of archaeology. The articles published deal with the issues of prehistoric, medieval, modern and contemporary archaeology in the Polish and Central European context. They also address issues that relates to Oriental and Classical archaeology, as well as the protection and management of archaeological heritage. Articles published in Polish are provided by an abstract, keywords and summary in English. A number of articles are published in English what enables an international audience to access the published research. The journal provides an open forum for discussion of the most important theoretical and practical issues.
