The volume is dedicated to the memory of Professor Andrzej Rakowski (1931–2018), an outstanding Polish musicologist and acoustician,
a researcher of international importance and a man of high personal culture. The following publication, devoted to the issues of music perception, but also to the perspective of the creator and performer,
serves to maintain and develop the tradition of research on perception and the psychology of music in Poland.
