Abstract
The dynamic development of digital technologies is revolutionizing approaches to teaching and learning foreign languages, including in the field of mediation. This article examines the integration of modern digital technologies into mediation activities within foreign language education, specifically referencing the CEFR Companion Volume descriptors. The research utilizes an application-oriented qualitative analysis based on participant observation and course documentation from workshops conducted at SWPS University between 2024 and 2026. The methodology followed a three-stage procedure: initial student evaluation of various tools, a selection process based on functionality, accessibility, and intuitiveness, and a final verification of their potential to support cognitive and communicative processes. Results highlight specific applications effective for text mediation, concept mediation, and communication mediation. The findings suggest that while technology excels in processing and simplifying text, the mediation of concepts and communication still requires careful human management to ensure ethical standards and emotional adequacy. Ultimately, the study demonstrates that digital tools can foster individualization and optimize learning, provided they are applied with pedagogical awareness rather than merely as a substitute for human interaction.
