Basic principles for reviewing publications in the “Bulletin of the History of Education”
1. At least two independent reviewers from outside the unit in which the author is employed shall be appointed to review the publication.
2. In the case of papers written in a foreign language, at least one of reviewers has to be affiliated with a foreign institution from the country other than the one indicated by the nationality of the author.
3. The review is written in the “double-blind review process” system, which means that author and reviewers do not know their respective identities.
4. The review must be in written form and end with a clear conclusion as to whether the article can be published or should be rejected.
5. The rules for qualifying or rejecting publications and possibly the review form are published on the journal's website or in each issue of the journal.
6. Names of reviewers of individual publications / issues are not disclosed; once a year the journal publishes the list of its collaborating reviewers
